What is Be The Change Society?
We are a mission-driven LLC that sells merchandise and allocates a portion of profits to a donation fund supporting community initiatives.

Are you a nonprofit?
No. We are currently a for-profit LLC. Donations are not tax-deductible at this time.

Donations

Where does my donation go?
After taxes and fees, 100% of remaining donations go into a designated donation fund used for community support efforts. Unfortunately, until we are a designated non-profit, donations will still be taxed and won’t be tax-deductible.

Does 100% of my donation actually go into your donation fund?

After taxes and fees are deducted, then 100% of the remaining donations goes into the donation fund. If when filling out the donation form you check the box which allows you to cover the processing fees we have to pay on all transactions, your primary donation amount is not affected by fees, again because you would be covering them. Minimum, the donation transactions, unfortunately, are still subjected to taxes.

How do I maximize my total donation amount potential?

In order to truly have 100% of your donation go into the donation fund, is to place an order along with your donation.

Why is this the case? This is because when someone places a product order and makes a donation, in the same checkout transaction, we cover all taxes and fees will the revenue from the product sale. This allows us to truly transfer 100% of your donation amount into the donation fund and also maximizes donations because, after covering taxes and fees, a minimum of 30% from the remaining product sale revenue still gets transferred into the donation fund as part of our company donation model.

All donations are transferred in full to the donation fund. Our business absorbs all order taxes, fees and costs from the product revenue.

Are donations refundable?
No. All donations are final.

Are donations tax deductible?
No, not at this time.

Purchases & Impact

How do purchases contribute?
After covering costs, a MINIMUM of 30% of remaining revenue goes into the donation fund.

What are the bonus donation thresholds?

• Orders above $64.99+ → +$5 additionally added to donations

• Orders above $129.99+ → +$10 additionally added to donations

• Orders above $194.99+ → +$15 additionally added to donations

• Orders above $259.99+ → +$20 additionally added to donations

Transparency

Can I see where the money goes?
Yes. We provide:

• A public ledger

• A donation counter

• Youtube content on our community support efforts.

Is the homepage counter live?

No, but we are working on this. The homepage counter is updated manually twice a week.

Is the ledger live?
No, but we are also working on it. Building a perfect live counter takes time. In the mean time, the ledger is updated manually a minimum of twice a week.

Orders

How are orders fulfilled?
Orders are produced and shipped through Printify partners.

Can I return my order?
Only if it arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect and has not been worn, stained or washed.

Future Plans

Will you become a nonprofit?
Yes. We plan to establish a nonprofit organization in the future to manage donations and provide tax-free and tax-deductible contributions. We need your help to grow in order for this to work however so we need your help.

Will you have a live counter and ledger at some point?

Yes, we are currently working on setting up a live homepage counter and live ledger that updates shortly after orders and/or donations are placed. This is time consuming and we are being very through to sort out the kinks to avoid issues.
